Visit of the shelter

If your application as a foster or adoption family has been accepted, you will be invited to visit the shelter for an interview and meeting with our rabbits. Each visit is an opportunity to explain to you our care and our protocol for taking care of a rescue and to specify our expectations in terms of care at home and living space. We also give a course on the rabbit.

The cost of the visit is$50and this amount will be credited with any adoption fees.

Arrives on time

It is important to arrive on time and to be calm and also to speak calmly. Rabbits being prey in the wild can easily become anxious in the presence of a stranger. If a second person is to join you, their presence must be approved before their arrival.

A visit lasts approx. 90 minutes

Allow 90 minutes for the visit. It is important to sit in the rabbit enclosure if possible and let the rabbit come to you. At no time should you pick up the rabbit in your arms or lift it off the ground. This can not only stress the rabbit but create an accident if it ever makes an impulsive and dangerous movement.
